If there’s one thing that I keep avoiding it’s studying the impact of light more fully i.e. the direction it comes from, how it affects the subject that I’m painting and where it falls so my New Years Resolution is to study and practise this subject. For some reason I’ve never really understood what I’ve read about creating the right colour of shadows so I’ll do my own experiments. Now that I’ve written down my NY resolution I ‘m committed! Luckily on the first Saturday in February 2020 I have been invited to do a workshop at the Turriffic Arts club in Turriff and the subject is going to be – Adding Light and Shadows for beginners. Turriffic Arts is a great little club that arranges beginners workshops in different arts and crafts. If you’d like to take part find them on Facebook here.
